I did this drawing last year, on toned paper, with colour pencils, I had gone off colour pencils for years, but I find them quite beautiful to work with now, their waxy qualities are good to build up texture and colour with. I remember my drawing '''teacher''' marking me at the end of the year, her being a sculpture teacher, she really knew nothing about art at all, as most sculptors dont. She didnt like this piece, or any others like it. I think she felt threatened by it. I mean, I dont see it as a weapon, I threw this together one evening out of boredom really. Personally, I feel I have got the illusion of 3-Dimensions out of this picture nicely, my highlights, planes and textures are good. Which leads me to the question, how can a sculptor, who produces large hunks of ugly junk, judge my credentials, when I have mastered their puny 3 dimensions using only 2? The mind boggles.

So she didn't like this?

Hmm...some people just don't get art, do they? Or they refuse people's art because they are jealous of it.

This is a beautiful drawing, almost abstract. Drawing should be fun.
